Last night I went out and explored Shinjuku since I am staying at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo. I started out at about 7PM when hordes of men in suits were going home from work and countless others heading to Kabuki-cho to gamble, etc. and otherwise enjoy the warm, dry weather (not so today). 2 more days in Tokyo and then we're off to Kanazawa, Kyoto and Hakone before coming home in 2 weeks. Here in Shinjuku this is probably the most colorful venue for walking and taking in the nightlife.
This photo was taken the following night from the New York bar on the 52nd floor of the Park Hyatt. Lost in Translation, anyone? I can't believe I was able to take a picture in focus with the camera tipped on top of the piano (no tripod with me here). I'm happy with this result and happy we had an opportunity to have a drink here. (thank you, Don)
